I was driving back home from my work, listening to my music, thinking about what should I prepare for dinner. I took the exit from the highway, it was a little bit crowded, the traffic light changed red, so I stopped my car. A few seconds later I felt a bump, I checked my rare view mirror to confirm it. Yeah, I was right, the car behind me crashed into my car. It was not a big accident, barely seen scratches on my car, I was glad that no one was hurt. So I was getting married AGAIN … to the same women :). This time we were getting married in China. (Our Sudan's wedding posts can be found [here](https://khalid.abolkog.com/tag/family-and-love)). As I said at the begging this is a long overdue post, plus my memory is amazingly bad, so some details might be lost. Hopefully, Elma won’t see this last part about me forgetting our wedding’s details. Continue ReadingBy Khalid Elshafie, Published on February 10, 2013
We are in Sudan yaaaay, I thought we can relax and enjoy our time and the amazing hot weather …. I was wrong. Getting the approval certificate from the court was fucking annoying. [February 10] We got up early and we had our breakfast and then I and Elma went out with my father to go the court. On our way to the court, we stopped by someplace to pick up my cousin “Ehab” and took him with us since he has experience in making these document and so on. We’ve landed at Beijing Capital international airport around 9:00 a.m. We did not know whether we should take a taxi or public transportation to go to the Sudanese embassy. We looked up some information on Baidu (the most popular search engine in China, similar to Google) and we decided that in order to save our costs we should take the express train to the centre of the city. I just came back from China filled with joy and happiness- after spending one week there. This was my second visit to China, I stayed only for 4 days during the first visit and it was for study purposes (I was attending a conference in which I published one of my papers).
